CIGRE and MKI Workshop on HVDC Transmission

On 20 April 2026, PT PLN (Persero) held the “CIGRE and MKI Workshop on HVDC Transmission: Indonesia's Green Enabling Interconnection” as part of its efforts to strengthen the national power system and support renewable energy integration.

PT Voksel Electric Tbk participated in the event by presenting Dr. Hawk Gong (Head of R&D at Jiangsu Hengtong Submarine Power Cable Co., Ltd.; Postdoctoral Researcher at Xi'an Jiaotong University).

During the business scheme session, Voksel delivered a presentation titled “Research Progress of HVDC Cables in China”, providing an overview of the research and implementation of HVDC cable technology in China.

This participation highlights Voksel’s role in supporting the development of high-voltage cable technology and the potential implementation of HVDC in Indonesia.
